• PETROFOND SCOR  – Flux for cleaning furnace walls

Proper maintenance of furnace walls is very important.

The formation of particles and the adhesion of corundum to the furnace wall severely limits the heat exchange, reduces the furnace capacity, and causes mold in the part.

This flux in powder form is suitable for cleaning furnace walls and can be used both manually and with the flux spraying system.

Molten aluminum alloys are subject to oxidation, so they must be protected by suitable coveralls during the melting cycle to prevent hydrogen absorption from the ambient atmosphere.

During the process, the use of suitable fluxes allows the oxides in the molten metal to be removed and the metallurgical properties to be improved.

The refining action by Ti and B elements present in the flux improves the mechanical properties of the alloy.

This product can be used to deoxidize gravity casting alloy, low pressure and sand casting.

The product contains PH, D, Ti-B, B, P and is in tablet form. They can be manually immersed in the melt through tools or they can be self-immersed.

• Special products to eliminate harmful elements

Aluminum alloys contain elements such as sodium, calcium, lithium, magnesium, strontium or titanium.

The removal of these elements, depending on the application, is required when it causes structural changes in the alloy and their composition is more than the standard amount for the alloy.
